Currently I am using Abeka Economics Curriculum for my highschooler. I noticed that while the questions at the end of the chapter (in the book) give a good review, they do not adequately prepare for the test.

I rewrote the questions for my teen so that he could answer them as he read, and made sure that every little detail that is included on the test is included in the questions. Some obscure facts are included. I also took the essay questions off of the test and gave them as homework assignments. I felt that this gave my student more time to consider the question, and would allow for a better comprehension of the material.

I do feel that the text itself covers the subject thoroughly, and would recommend it.

Thanks for the ABeka Economics review and the tips, Beverly! All is not lost when we experience curriculum problems. No curriculum is totally perfect but we can certainly modify it a bit to meet our needs.
