ABeka Homeschool Curriculum Review
I am a mom who was new to homeschooling last year. I asked A LOT of homeschooling moms what they would recommend and got a lot of different answers. I would search online for reviews of each curriculum that I was told about. None of them seemed to be a good fit for our family. It was while speaking with the director of my children's previous school that ABeka homeschool curriculum was mentioned. I knew ABeka! It was used in the schools that my children had attended and they loved it. The graphics and illustrations are fun and colorful which made school pages more "fun". I researched it and eventually ordered the books. I was very happy with the pace that the books moved along at. They kept my kids attention and that is very important. I noticed that the curriculum is advanced in comparison with what other kids in conventional schools are learning. The spelling lists contain more words than what their "school" friends had, but my children had no problem keeping up. The same held true for ABeka's math program. My children were taking on more advanced problems and I was pleased with the review. They review as they move forward and that is what made it "stick" for my children. We will be using ABeka homeschool curriculum again this year, and would recommend it to anyone with children in the lower grades. Nice review of ABeka homeschool curriculum; thanks for sharing!
